About Me

My photo
Outi, the Frame Dame
Born and raised in FINLAND I am a true Northern specimen. I have studied many languages and my English is a global mix, -the dominant foreign accent being FINNISH. While studying languages and art at the University of Helsinki I met and married a Canadian , -ended up moving to Ontario in 1988. I apologize for my foreign twang and the warped grammar: this blog was not meant to be great literature but a library of ideas that work and inspire. May 1988 was the birthday of LLOYD'S GALLERY & CUSTOM FRAMING, a family company that owned and operated by me and my husband Kevin. The current store is called PAPERMOON. In 1990 I became a CERTIFIED PICTURE FRAMER, this title is only granted to those who pass the exams and standards set by the PROFESSIONAL PICTURE FRAMERS ASSOCIATION.(PPFA). There are only about 150 of us in Canada. On Feb 1st, 2011 my husband an I sold our company to Heidi MacKenzie who joined us in the year 2000. Officially now in retirement, I remain on board as a contributing BLOGGER FRAMER.ONE CAN NEVER STOP LOVING A OUTSTANDING FRAMING JOB THAT IS PUT TOGETHER WITH PASSION AND VISION! THis is what this blog is about! ☺
